2019 Award Categories

The seven award categories are:

Best Large Business (goods exporter)

This award recognises success by net return to the New Zealand economy for businesses with a total annual revenue of over $40million.

Best Medium Business (goods exporter)

This award recognises success by net return to the New Zealand economy for businesses with a total annual revenue of $5million - $40million.

Best Emerging Business (goods exporter)

This award recognises success by net return to the New Zealand economy for businesses with a total annual revenue of under $5million and have a history operating internationally with growth up to a maximum of 5 years.

Best Large Business (services exporter)

This award recognises success by net return to the New Zealand economy for businesses with a total annual revenue of over $40million.

Best Medium Business (services exporter)

This award recognises success by net return to the New Zealand economy for businesses with a total annual revenue of $5million - $40million.

Best Emerging Business (services exporter)

This award recognises success by net return to the New Zealand economy for businesses with a total annual revenue of under $5million and have a history operating internationally with growth up to a maximum of 5 years.                                                             

Excellence in Innovation for Export 

This award recognises excellence in the commercialisation of innovation to achieve a profitable and self-sufficient business

The following three points sum up what ExportNZ is looking for in an award finalist

• Innovative – strong emphasis on developments new to the market, research and development or other creative endeavour
• Exemplary and profitable export performance with potential to extend that success
• Identifiable proprietary rights foundation to export success

You may only enter one category. The exception to this rule is if you intend entering the Excellence in Innovation award category

Exporters' Champion award (for exemplary services to export) 

This is a  very special award recognising individual accomplishment.   This award recognises those who over a period of time have contributed significantly to our export sector.  This award recognises those who go beyond the call of duty to share their experience, their networks, their leadership skills and wider talents to help foster the talents of others, develop business offshore, and promote New Zealand across the globe.
