My career encompasses 19 years with DHL Worldwide Express. Leadership roles in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australasia led ultimately to a global responsibility based in Brussels. Returning to New Zealand in 1995, I became CEO of Southern Cross Healthcare, the largest private healthcare organisation comprising health insurance and private hospitals. During this time I served as president of the International Federation of Health Plans. From 2002-6 I consulted/ invested in both the Healthcare and Logistics sector. I have been a Director of Medtech, the leading practice management software platform in New Zealand, and Enigma, a provider of decision support software to the health sector. In 2006 I co-founded Peak Healthcare, and we launched Peak Primary in 2008, a business involved in acquiring and aggregating General Practices in New Zealand. From January 2008 until 2012, I was located in Singapore, working as an associate with ITVest Pte Ltd (www.itvest.com) and a Director of Mercatus Capital (www.mercatus-capital.com). I was also a Director of SmileFocus, a leading Singapore dental practice. In September 2012, I came back to New Zealand, as Managing Director for Peak Primary Ltd. In November 2014 I sold Peak Primary to Green Cross Health and became Managing Director for the Medical Division, overseeing the integration of Peak with Radius Medical (now trading as Green Cross Health Medical). In May 2016, I resigned my operational responsibilities and remain as a Director.
